P-SONIC International Symposium 2026

September 10-11, 2026

Welcome

P-SONIC (Plant Signaling-molecule Organ formation Networks In Cells) is one of the JSPS International Leading Research Projects launched in FY2025 (see project outline).

We are delighted to announce the P-SONIC International Symposium 2026, which will be held at Awaji Yumebutai, Japan, as the inaugural scientific meeting of the project.

P-SONIC aims to elucidate how signaling molecules, particularly plant hormones and peptides, generate and regulate the “information space” that coordinates cellular behavior, governs cell fate decisions, and drives autonomous organ formation in plants. By integrating single-cell omics, quantitative analyses of signaling molecules, and mathematical modeling, we seek to uncover the fundamental principles underlying plant development and environmental adaptation.

The symposium will bring together researchers participating in P-SONIC, as well as leading scientists from related fields, to discuss the latest advances in plant signaling, developmental regulation, and systems-level approaches to understanding multicellular organization. Through scientific presentations and open discussions, we hope to foster new collaborations and stimulate innovative ideas that will shape the future of plant science.

We warmly welcome your participation and look forward to an inspiring and productive meeting.
